Bohdan Dowsing
Managing Director
Bohdan Dowsing leads the Group’s operations responsible for strategic growth, business planning and shaping the framework that enables employees to excel. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the civil construction industry, with experience gained from a young age.
While Bohdan has been immersed in the business for more than two decades, he officially joined Dowsing Group in 2006 after completing studies in business management. Mentored by the head of the family business, Carl and Jacinta, it was in 2016 that Bohdan was appointed Executive Director.
A strategic and blue-sky thinker, Bohdan has an uncanny ability to find solutions to whole-of-market problems and has been instrumental in scaling the business into new segments.
Bohdan has a solid understanding of the practical facets of service delivery which is drawn from his initiation across all levels of business. He believes the ongoing development of local capability and strong client and stakeholder relationships are essential to the success of the company and delivery of projects.
Sam Dowsing
Operations Manager – WA
Carrying the family name, Sam Dowsing was exposed to the business as a youngster. School holidays were spent getting his hands dirty and learning the trade of concreting and footpath construction. Involvement in the company was natural for Sam; not because of the family connection but because of his genuine interest in the craft.
Sam has had an active full-time involvement in the business over the last decade. He was initially involved in slipform at a time the offering was diversifying, and recently as a project manager for the Hardscapes division. His strong work ethic and commitment to high-quality outcomes have seen Sam appointed the role of operations manager. This pivotal role also takes responsibility for managing the company’s Western Australian local government clients.
While Sam has etched his career under the guidance of his family, he has taken those learnings to adapt his own work style in leading a cohesive team and adding value to delivering consistent performance and successful project delivery.
Brian Behan
Project Manager – WA
Brian Behan is a well-rounded civil engineer and accomplished project manager with over a decade of civil construction experience. Brian has been part of the Dowsing civil team for over 7 years delivering a high standard of project management and engineering excellence on local government and major projects.
Equipped with exceptional technical and operational expertise Brian oversees all profiling operations, client management and project delivery for the expanded division. He holds a Masters in Engineering (Civil Engineering) and is a valued operational leader who understands the importance of effectively engaging staff to achieve outcomes.
