Dowsing Group Acquires Leading WA Road Profiling Business

Dowsing Group is proud to announce the successful acquisition of WA Profiling, a division of Hiways, that completed on 31 March 2021. The latest strategic acquisition marks another exciting chapter for Dowsing and signifies an important milestone in the Group’s growth strategy.

The deal sees the WA Profiling business, its employees and equipment merging with the existing Dowsing Profiling business unit at our Maddington location.

With a long-standing history in Western Australia and an extensive track record delivering specialised civil services, the latest acquisition represents a unique opportunity for the Group to increase road profiling capabilities by offering a unified solution which is unparalleled in scale, quality and reliability in the current WA profiling market.

Dowsing Group Managing Director, Bohdan Dowsing, said that the acquisition was a natural fit with the Group’s strategy with the closely-aligned companies having family business roots. The purchase returns back a Western Australian family ownership to the current WA Profiling business and strengthens the company’s position for sustained growth in a competitive market.

“Over the past few years, we have strategically worked towards expanding the Dowsing story, locally and nationally, and our latest acquisition validates our ability to further strengthen our road infrastructure capabilities and expertise in Western Australia”.
“With family values at our core, we intend to work with the experienced team that is joining us, and further develop the Group’s road profiling capabilities to our local government and major project clients”, Bohdan Dowsing said.

Following on from last year’s acquisition of Dowsing NSW with Michael McLean, which launched the Groups’ national expansion, the current transaction similarly represents the realisation of a number of key strategic objectives. In particular, the achievement of becoming the leading service provider across road profiling services in Western Australia.

“We are excited to take another major step towards realising our strategic growth plans and are looking forward to continuing to deliver quality outcomes on our road profiling projects in Perth and Sydney”, Bohdan Dowsing said.
