The scope involved profiling the road surface at 1m width and 150mm depth, followed by placement of MRWAapproved quarry and borrow pit material processed through an onsite pugmill and re-laid by side paver — all executed within lane closures on a live regional highway.
Profiled material was unsuitable for reuse and was removed from site. Replacement material was sourced from MRWA approved quarries and borrow pits, conditioned to the required optimum moisture content through the onsite pugmill, then placed by side paver. The team achieved up to 3-4km and 1,200 tonne per shift, operating within a 1.6km working room created by lane closure tapers.
