The contract scope of works included:
- Detailed site investigations to assess existing asphalt, pavement and kerbing conditions.
- Development of staged construction methodology and detailed programme to minimise disruption to station operations.
- Demolition and removal of existing asphalt, kerbing and pavement in accordance with approved IFC documentation.
- Assessment and remediation of existing basecourse, including reconstruction where required.
- Preparation of sub-base, including priming and sealing to relevant standards and specifications.
- Installation of new subgrade, basecourse and asphalt surfacing to design levels.
- Construction of new kerbing
- Reinstallation of bollards, wheel stops and signage to PTA standards.
- Line marking reinstatement with full DDA compliance, including PTA approval of final layouts.
The project was delivered within an operational train station environment requiring careful staging, coordination with service authorities and strict adherence to PTA rail safety and permit requirements. Dowsing implemented controlled demolition and reconstruction methodologies, detailed traffic and access management, and proactive stakeholder coordination to maintain commuter safety and continuity of operations.
